"You know...you're very clingy, it's not healthy," Jenesys said softly as he lay back on the grass. Lazuli chirped but continued tocuddle under his chin, his tail twitching back and forth lazily. The lapis was silent a moment before he began nibbling under Jenesys's chin, a habit the little Lapis had started up the instant he'd gotten comfortable with him new human. Spring was a little different. Yes, she loved to cuddle just as much as Lazuli but she was a bit more curious about her surroundings. True to those words the little Teal was swimming happily in the lake, while Lazuli continued to just cuddle.
"Your sister's doing what she was made to do, why don't you. You've barely flown and I don't think you can..." he sighed. Lazuli grumbled but finally sat up on his chest and looked down at him. Jenesys just cocked his eye at him and the Lapis finally sighed and took to the air. The instant he did the Lapis could only loop and twirl in the air like he was made to do. Smiling Jenesys just relaxed back in the grass and watched Lazuli dance. His mind wondered a moment...would he do that one day? Would he be able to Impress one of the dragons? To actually belong...unlike back home where he'd been mercilessly teased and forced to turn in on himself and become as socially awkward as he was...could he belong?

"Hai!! Where are ye goin' lassie?" Duncan called, following along behind his firelizard from the ground. It seemed that suddenly, Adhainn wanted to explore the Weyr, without Duncan, which after arriving in this new world and never really being alone since he bonded with Adhainn almost as soon as he got here, Duncan suddenly found a new panic descending on him as his firelizard seemed to want to go off on her own. When the firelizard suddenly disappeared, Duncan almost broke down, but he could still feel the little aquamarine, just at the edge of his mind trying to calm him down, but he just couldn't see her.
It was about the time a multi hued firelizard started dancing just a bit before him that Duncan finally saw the young man lying on the ground. If he had kept walking, he might have tripped over him, or would have kept walking and ended up in the lake. Noticing that the young man was Earth-born but his mind wasn't focusing well enough to recall a name, Duncan stared at the firelizard for a bit longer, wishing Hai would come back. Little bugger had become the center of his world . . . Sighing, his shoulders slouched a little and he just kind of stood there for a moment, wondering what he could do. Even his passion for metal and gears didn't seem appealing at the moment, at least not without Hai sitting there cooing to him.

Jenesys jolted a bit at the raised voice. It wasn't an angry one but sounded more like worry. Pushing himself up onto his elbow's he looked around before cocking his head back to see one of the other Earth-born humans. He looked...distraught. He turned his eyes to lazuli a moment only to see him dancing about with a pretty blue toned flitter before sitting up. he knocked a bit of grass out of his long hair before turning to focus on the other boy.
"Good morning, are you ok?" he asked, his eyes worried as he took in his slouched appearance...and nearly defeated expression. It was his voice that drew Spring from the lake, the Teal crawling up from the water to curl in his lap, crooning softly. He didn't really care that he was thoroughly drenching his lap, he wasn't about to push her affection away just because she was a little wet.

Hearing the young man speaking to him drew Duncan back from his own mind. He watched as the young man's lapis firelizard danced in the sky and it was then that he saw Adhainn hadn't left him but was dancing and chittering with the lapis firelizard. It brought a smile back to his face and his heart was lifted at the sight of his firelizard back once more. "Before we can here, I was use tae bein' alone . . . but since I bonded wid me little Adhainn . . . De little lass is me world . . . I daught she had left me . . . but it looks like the little minx just wanted tae play wid yer little lad," he stated.
It was hard to think that he had become so attached to the little minx, but after so long by himself before joining the program and then the crash, he didn't like being alone. It bothered him, except for when he was working with his hands and metal, then he could lose himself in his work and not think about being alone.
Shaking his head, Duncan looked down at the young man and grinned. "Here I am going on and on about me issues and yer probably nae even remotely interested," he grinned, though it truly felt good to have someone to talk to.

Lazuli chittered happily at his new friend, she was a very good dancer and he made sure he told her so as they flittered about in the air. He liked being around his human and clinging to him was the easiest way to be around him, after all Spring got to curl around his neck and be carried around, why not him. Ok ok, maybe because he had wings and she didn't but that didn't matter one little bit, if she could cling, he should be able to cling. Jenesys stroked his fingers down Spring's back, causing the Teal to croon and trill happily.
Blinking, he looked up at Lazuli and the pretty little blue colored flitter, she was a pretty little thing. "Well, Adhainn is beautiful...and I'm glad you have someone now," he said as he looked up at the two flitters dancing about. "Those of us who had nothing once we arrived now have something to hold on to here," he said, his mind wandering back to the family he'd been forced to leave behind. Turning his eyes back to Duncan he pat the grass beside him. "I don't mind, I have to agree it's nice to talk to others about what was left behind...helps remember them and what we have now," he said, his smile inviting.
